Here in the desert southwest, our outdoor living has been hampered for a few week-ends because of cool winds and bursts of rainy weather. We always need the rain, so I didn't mind it. After the first good soaking, I thought we were through, so I didn’t mind that my outdoor furniture was soaking wet. It will dry soon enough, I thought. Wrong! The clouds and wet weather played games with us desert dwellers. So, tired of watching my outdoor furniture become soggy messes, I pulled in my outdoor furniture underneath my patio. Needless to say, it looks pretty strange seeing my outdoor patio cramped with furniture and cushions. This coming week-end, the sun is supposed to shine and the perfect temps will be back. Before I can do any relaxing on my outdoor patio, I will have to spend quite a bit of time weeding. Rain is great for the plants, but the weeds multiplied with every drop of rain. Only then will my chairs and lounge chair come out of hiding and outdoor living will begin again.
