Last fall we took a week off and did some caravaning camping and had such a great time. Normally we go camping by ourselves, but some friends of ours suggested that we join them and a small group of people in RVs to see if we'd like it. We had a great time, and may do more caravaning camping this summer up in the high country. What I liked best about it was everything I learned when we were with the group, like the pleasures of having a cup of espresso mid afternoon for a nice relaxing way to break up the day. To that end, I started searching for decaf espresso beans locally, and came up empty handed in all the stores I looked, including coffee shops and bars. So I ended up ordering espresso beans online, as well as a set of these espresso cups that will be perfect for using on our outdoor patio and when we are camping, too.
We started to practice the espresso ritual every afternoon when we're at home and like to serve it on the outdoor patio. I thought that these cups would be perfect for using on the outdoor patio because they are insulated and they won't break. They also look pretty good, too. These cups are the GSI 1.75 oz. Stainless Steel Double Walled Espresso Cups and they were affordable. Each one holds almost two ounces which is plenty, especially for people who drink regular espresso and not the decaf that I have to drink.
I found these espresso cups located at www.rcampout.com, a great site for outdoor living. We love our outdoor patio and are fortunate in that we live in an area where we can enjoy being outside almost all year long. This week it will be too cold to drink our afternoon espresso on the outdoor patio, but it will fun to drink it inside, and look outdoors. We're having a big rain event all week long and while that curtails our outdoor living, it's great for the plants that beautify our outdoor patio.
Whenever we're camping outdoors and the weather turns stormy, we just hop back into our RV and enjoy our days either reading or watching TV. We bought solar panels for our RV so we wouldn't have to run the generator which is awfully loud when we're in the wilderness camping. Our solar batteries are sufficient to run the television and the overhead lights. Our stove is propane so we can brew up a pot of tea or espresso and enjoy a rainy afternoon inside. The espresso pot we use is also stainless steel and it uses direct stove heat to brew the beverage. Now when we go caravaning again this summer, we'll be able to have our own espresso cups and pot to add to the fun with our camping friends.
