I have some friends who bought a home here in the Phoenix area for a fantastic price. It is unfortunate that many homes here in the southwest have really come down in value because of the economy. For people looking to buy though, the time is right to grab a great deal on a home. The inside of their home needs some work, but it is doable and my friend's husband is handy around the house. The backyard, though, needs some major work. The outdoor living space is so important, it is an extension of your home. My friends had a very pretty yard in their previous big home, so I know they have plenty of outdoor living ideas swimming in their heads. I am sure they will be sitting on their outdoor furniture and planning what kind of spaces they want for their outdoor living areas. They practically have a blank slate to work with. The yard is just all rock, so knowing them, their outdoor living space will improve dramatically in the next few months.
