Living in the Southwest allows my family to spend a lot of time in the outdoors. We enjoy our backyard. My husband and I developed and created the entire space ourselves. We began by putting in an outdoor porch. My husband laid the foundation and built the covered porch himself. It is a thing of beauty with timber poles lighting and fans. 

My favorite piece of outdoor furniture is hung from the rafters of the porch. It is a swing and hammock of sorts. We have two as the contraption is made for one person. It hangs like a hammock and moves back and forth like a swing. This piece of outdoor furniture also sports a cup holder. My husband and I have spent many hours in these talking or watching television on the flat screen.

The covered back porch has truly added to our outdoor living space. We often have dinner there and cook on the propane grill. After a satisfying dinner, a glass of wine and a tasty dessert my husband and I have been known to retire to our favorite outdoor furniture. We have even fallen asleep in them!
