While on summer break during my first year of college I decided to build an outdoor patio for my mom. We decided on the location and size for the outdoor patio and then the real work began. I have always liked the appearance of the natural stone patios, walls, and walkways many National and State Parks use so this was my model. I made many trips to local stream's to collect just the right large and small flat rocks for the outdoor patio, a privacy wall, and fire pit. The building of the patio went smoothly and after I had the concrete poured I set the stones in place in a design that turned out looking very nice. The fire pit and privacy wall with built-in flower planter on top turned out well also. This outdoor patio was a lot of work I will admit but well worth it as the family has enjoyed many great cookouts and just as a place to relax at the end of the day. A couple neighbors liked outdoor patio so much they ask if I would build them one but thankfully I had to go back to college.
